A day at one of the many excellent racecourses around the United Kingdom doesn't have to be about either Champagne or dedicated punters rushing from the parade ring to bet on the next event. Many have become places which welcome everyone and have dedicated family areas. For fixtures which take place on the weekend, especially those during the summer months, visitors will find all sorts of entertainments and distractions. From bouncy castles and marching bands, to packages which supply picnic hampers and include a bottle of Champagne, there is no reason to venture to the 'steppings' to get the most out of a raceday. Most family-orientated enclosures are located in the centre of the track, usually with car park access, and it is one of the best places to get a real feeling of the thundering hooves as they head towards the winning post.
